This Sunday, April 27th, marked the end of the 7th edition of the Costa Brava Stage Run, a three-day adventure with two race formats (CBSR120K and CBSR80K), covering the Costa Brava from south to north, from Blanes to Colera. The event featured 300 participants from 25 different nationalities, 44% of whom were women and 80% international.
The race kicked off on Friday in Blanes with a scenic and intense first stage that took runners to Tossa de Mar, passing stunning spots like Cala Bona, s’Agulla, Santa Cristina, Cala Morisca, and Cala Llevadó along the spectacular Camí de Ronda. On Saturday, the course crossed the heart of the Costa Brava in a postcard-worthy stage through the Montgrí Natural Park, the Medes Islands, and the Baix Ter region. A highlight of the day was crossing the Ter river on foot — a powerful and unforgettable moment full of energy.
On Sunday, the Cap de Creus Natural Park and its unique geology and landscape provided the perfect backdrop for the final stage, with both CBSR120K (starting from Roses) and CBSR80K (starting from Cadaqués) finishing in Colera. Technical trails, sweeping vistas, and an enthusiastic crowd defined the grand finale of a truly memorable edition.
In total, the 120K and 80K routes combined hidden coves with forest tracks, technical singletrack, and constant ups and downs — all within a stunning natural environment, with the “Camí de Ronda” as the unifying thread. The vibe throughout the event was exceptional, with no major incidents reported, thanks to the efforts of over 70 staff members working to ensure safety and a smooth experience for everyone involved.

Once again, we thank the local councils and municipal services of all the towns along the route — their support has been key to the event’s logistical and organizational success.
With participants now heading home, BiFree Sports is already working on the 8th edition of the Costa Brava Stage Run, scheduled for April 2026, with the continued goal of delivering a unique sporting, human, and scenic experience.
BiFree Sports, the organizing company behind Costa Brava Stage Run, has been promoting high-quality multi-stage trail running events since 2016, including the Pyrenees Stage Run and the Brama Stage Run. All three races sell out months in advance and are considered benchmarks in the international trail running community.
We would like to give special thanks to our main sponsor TUGA ACTIVE WEAR and to the Costa Brava Girona Pyrenees Tourist Board for their institutional support — helping make this event, which combines sport, territory, and sustainable tourism, a reality.
