ADVENDURE is the leading web portal in Greece about Mountain Running, Adventure, Endurance and other Mountain Sports
The event sells out all spots for the fourth consecutive year, establishing itself as one of the most international stage races in the country. The race stands out for its exceptional female presence in trail running, reaching 38% of the participants.
The starting gun fires this morning for the Costa Brava Stage Run (CBSR), the long-awaited multi-stage trail running adventure that will take 300 runners along the Girona coastline over the next three days. The race, which connects Blanes with the north of the Costa Brava via the legendary Camí de Ronda, begins this edition with a resounding success: for the fourth year in a row, all available spots were sold out months in advance.

The CBSR has established itself as a magnet for runners from around the globe, with 27 nationalities represented, turning the event into a true multicultural celebration of sport. While domestic runners lead the list (70), European and North American participation is very high: Belgium (48), Germany (32), Netherlands (27), France (20), United States (17), Sweden (15), United Kingdom (11), Finland (11), Switzerland (8), Czech Republic (8), and Denmark (7). This diversity is complemented by a significant figure for the industry: 38% of participants are women, a number that doubles the usual average for long-distance races.
Participants are divided into two categories: a 120km and an 80km race, both spread over three stages that combine technical sections, Mediterranean cliffs, and pristine coves. Beyond the clock, the race maintains its spirit of community through its "shared journey" format, where runners and staff live together daily, strengthening the bond between athletes and the land.
The spectacle begins today with the first stage from Blanes to Tossa, also known as the "Selva Marítima." On Saturday, they will run through the paths of Baix Empordà and the Baix Ter Natural Park, between Platja d'Aro and L'Estartit. Finally, on Sunday, starting from Roses and passing through Cadaqués (the start for the 80K category) in the heart of the Cap de Creus Natural Park, the race will conclude with a demonstration of endurance, scenery, and environmental respect at the finish line in Colera.

The Costa Brava Stage Run is organised by BiFree Sports, a company with extensive experience in organising stage races. In addition to the Brama, they also manage the Brama Stage Run and the Pyrenees Stage Run, events that stand out for offering a unique experience of adventure and challenge in spectacular natural environments. As always, the support of the technical sports clothing brand Tuga Active Wear has been fundamental, as has the institutional backing of the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Pirineu de Girona, contributing to the success and projection of the event.
