Obernai, France, May 17, 2026 – For its fourth edition, Trail Alsace by UTMB® once again confirmed its growing stature and deep roots within the region. Held under – at times – unpredictable weather conditions, this weekend delivered an exceptional level of competition, and marked the culmination of an intense few days of racing.

This year’s experience was enriched by several well-received additions: a brand-new 100M start from the Lac Blanc resort, the launch of the Trail des Écuyers dedicated to the younger generation, a childcare service, and the “Pot des Obernois,” created to encourage exchanges with local residents.

Obernai, France, May 16, 2026 – After two opening days of competition, Trail Alsace by UTMB® continues to establish itself as one of France’s premier trail-running events. Between Alsatian villages, vineyards, forest trails, and medieval castles, the first races of the weekend showcased both the diversity and the demanding nature of Alsace’s terrain.

While the 100K, which started Friday morning from Orschwiller, kept spectators on edge with intense head-to-head battles, the flagship 100M race, which began Friday at 5:00 PM from the Lac Blanc resort, delivered commanding performances at the front of the field. Meanwhile, the Trail des Pèlerins (20K) energized Saturday afternoon with a fast and explosive race. A look back at an emotional start to the weekend.
